I have to give it up to all those that have been involved with the Bridges event over the years. 10 years and still strong is something that rarely happens in the LA night scene. Gratefully I have been able to capture some of this events moments, along with their 9 year and 10 year anniversary. Much respect to DP Sound family and all others that have rocked the crowds over the years. It’s been a long journey, many locations, Guest Dj’s and performers.
Special thank you for Nu-Soul Magazine, Cali, Norman Mayers, all the vedors and artists, DJ’s and performers. I always have such a positive and welcomed time at Art + Soul. Thank you for allowing me to showcase and shoot this night.
I had the opportunity to watch an artist that I adore on an intimate stage, just the way it should be. Thank you to Lina for giving an amazing performance. Your energy radiates in your voice, thank you for sharing with us.
I was lucky enough to be invited to Little Agnes’ 1st bday over the weekend. Many of you may have seen her or her family members in other photos related to “Vintage Renewals” and events that I’ve posted in the past. This may have been the most elaborately planned bday party I’ve ever been to, with good reason. Maria (Agnes’ mother) hand made LOTS of these snacks and really takes party planning to a whole other level. hmm, maybe we (and you) should book her for an event. Oh the ideas this woman can bring to the table. ENDLESS!!!!
Agnes is lucky to have parents that celebrate the bdays of their 2 children with all the effort and time that every little kid deserves. They celebrate their life, with games, family, friends, and food. Emphasis on the FOOD.
Every visit to the Vintage Renewals shop and even their home feels like I am visiting family. Open arms, good conversation, a welcoming atmosphere that truly represents their energy and way of life expecting nothing in return. I am happy and blessed to be in the presence of this family and to call them my friends.

21st Annual Festival of Philippine Arts & Culture (FPAC) 2012
“Our mission is to advance the understanding of the arts and diverse cultural heritage of
Filipinos in the United States.”
I went to Fader Fest this weekend in Long Beach at the Queen Mary for a combination car show (Hella Flush) and scratch DJ showcase. Headliners Qbert and Dstyles were the buzz of the day, along with Icy Ice and the dynamic duo of “Bloody Cotex”. An odd name, and if you don’t know the story behind Bloody Cotex, then I’m sure the getup would have confused you as well. Word around the stage was that Handroidz (DJ IQ & DJ Konfusion) were the disguised duo making a secret appearance as the named act.
Enjoy the photos, I enjoyed the day and event. Aside from a farmers tan that will haunt me for the rest of the summer, this is definitely an event to check out next time around.
Special thanks to everyone who helped, participated, shared, promoted, ate, drank, danced and enjoyed their time at Beats N Pieces. With much hard work, success and fun definitely took place last weekend. Thanks to mother nature and a ridiculous heat wave, I am grateful for not passing out during set up. HAHA.
Thanks to NASA Cru for bringing color to the night with a live mural, as well as artwork in the gallery, all the DJ’s… Rhettmatic, LA JAE, DJ Eclektic and DJ MZA, all the live artists, and all the artists presenting their work at the show, SINO Tequila for their yummyness. If I missed you, please know that you are appreciated and we are blessed to have your participation. Enjoy the photos and please, if you have pictures feel free to share them with us on facebook,
Also, here are the pictures taken by fellow showcasing photographer “STILL 1″ from the event. He’s good… reaaaallll good
