Bridges 10 Year Get Down

12 Feb

I have to give it up to all those that have been involved with the Bridges event over the years. 10 years and still strong is something that rarely happens in the LA night scene. Gratefully I have been able to capture some of this events moments, along with their 9 year and 10 year anniversary. Much respect to DP Sound family and all others that have rocked the crowds over the years. It’s been a long journey, many locations, Guest Dj’s and performers.

Beats N Pieces – July 2012

17 Jul

Special thanks to everyone who helped, participated, shared, promoted, ate, drank, danced and enjoyed their time at Beats N Pieces. With much hard work, success and fun definitely took place last weekend. Thanks to mother nature and a ridiculous heat wave, I am grateful for not passing out during set up. HAHA.

Thanks to NASA Cru for bringing color to the night with a live mural, as well as artwork in the gallery, all the DJ’s… Rhettmatic, LA JAE, DJ Eclektic and DJ MZA, all the live artists, and all the artists presenting their work at the show, SINO Tequila for their yummyness. If I missed you, please know that you are appreciated and we are blessed to have your participation. Enjoy the photos and please, if you have pictures feel free to share them with us on facebook,

Fresh @ King King – April 2012

25 Apr

This past Friday a new and flourishing night called Fresh caught my attention.  A collaboration from the minds of JazzMoov and Philter, proof that music can bring people together. Especially when Dj’s Phers1, Mza, and Suckapunch are on the tables. Break beats, Disco soul, funk, and more. Anyone with a hurtin for foot workin should check this event out.

Be sure to keep your eyes and ears open for the next FRESH night. King King is the place and the vibe is positive. Keep a look out on Facebook and EventBrite.com for the next one.

Art & Soul March Edition

20 Mar

Another amazing night at The Mezzanine in downtown LA for Nu-Soul Magazine’s event “Art & Soul” featuring Maya Jupiter.

Over 20 artists showing and displaying their creations. Artists include Konfusion (top), Andre Power (above), Nicole Bishopp (below), Proto, Native Soul, Headjyve, and the ladies of Kleur.

Resident DJ’s Seven57 and Mza (as always) did what they do best on the decks. This time 2nd round guest DJ/Producer D-FELIC (Netherlands) came with a beat set that I absolutely wasn’t ready for, and again… blew me away. So much talent there, you can check his page here:
